Sometimes we just need warm affection to remind us love exists 

We need a hand to hold through turbulent times

We need love 

As I navigate this universe of emotions, solito, I paint undiscovered feelings brush after brush, como si finding a new scab unnoticed in your soul and you scratch and curiously peel just a little bit, it gets darker and darker then the blood comes out 

Shit gets real, real quick 

Y derrepente you’re engulfed in a universe traveling through galaxies of memories que te recuerdan de tu mamá, the person who brought you to this light, but it’s so dark now

Obscure battles have been defeated alone, and sometimes feel what kept me afloat was this thing called hope

It is that vanishing light that now seems so distant 

Alone 

Solo I travel through the roaring unknown and wished you were really there 

Like back in the day 

When we’d walk in the scary Norte side by side carrying sacks of laundry , but you’d hold my hand

You had met, got my back through this frightening new world 

Pero ama, this world is still scary and now I can’t seem to find the light

Hope is vanishing since the day you reminded me being joto would take me straight to hell 

I know it’s scary navigating this world along my true self, but know I’ll always stay true to who I am, even if the light remains lost

I’ll always have your back,  know I got you 

I know It’s tough living your life 

Especially with a joto son

But know

I got you

I’ll stay strong in the meantime, discovering new worlds of emotions pintura after pintura, it’s what keeps the light alive
