Taqueria La Cazuela, in East Palo Alto, has a devoted partnership with AAV and every year we host a Community Altar for El Dia De Los Muertos in November. Community members come and participate in a two day event where they learn about the history, create art and offerings together, and build an altar. On the day of the dead, community celebrates with food, poetry, art, and love. Join us this year on November 1,2, 2023!

Local organization, Canopy exhibits youth art after participating in a workshop with artist Pedro Rivas Lopez on art and environmental justice. Taqueria La Cazuela is a space AAV uses as a way to promote youth and local artists voices. If you are interested in a workshop or exhibiting here with your youth group, or if you are a local artist, please contact us. Check out the space, there is always art on the walls! All sales go directly to our Programs.
